I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. – Henry David Thoreau

Love this Angie! The photos and the quotes. I have visited Joyce Kilmer National Forest several times – in NC. Love those nature walks.

Thanks so much, Tricia.
I didn’t know I would be such a fan of doing the trails, but I really had a nice time. I’m looking forward to the next time we go back.
BEAUTIFUL pictures!! I feel like fall came and went too quickly. It was windy, and by the time all the trees got their color they were blowing down. Glad you got out to enjoy it!

It did seem fast, didn’t it? Then again, I think that I find myself thinking that every year. It seems like summer lasts so long and then before you know it, it’s cold. It’s not fair that my favorite season gets skipped like that.
Thanks for the picture compliment!
I have always loved Walden. Thanks for the great post & photos & for hosting, & God bless!
