Spring Spruce Up Around the House

Spring Spruce Up

I’m very excited next week that I’m going to be writing about doing a Spring spruce up in your craft room (or crafting area). If you’re anything like me – a crafting area is one of the last things to get your cleaning attention. So, I hope to be able to give you some ideas for straightening and organizing in that area. For me, what started as an idea to do some clean up ended up being a whole remodeling project. Go figure!

One of the things that I’m really excited about next week is that I’m not the only one working on a Spring Spruce Up in an area of my house.  On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week, you’ll be able to hop around to several blogs to get ideas of how to spruce up many areas of your house.  On Thursday, March 24th, each of the blogs will have a link up (you only need to link up on one, and it will show up on all of them) where you can link up to your own sprucing up post (in whatever room you want).

I can’t wait to share with everyone the work that I’ve been doing in my craft room!

Be sure to check out all of the great ideas for sprucing up around your house starting next week:

Ugh, I need this so badly. Especially now that my son and I are doing daily preschool crafts. I’ve actually refrained from buying more until I get around to organizing everything that we already have.

What does your finished craft room look like? What’s the size of the room your are using? I have a 9X9 room that I want to convert into a craft room. I would love to see and have some frugal ideas. thanks so much, Angela :)

Well it’s also our office so I guess I don’t have the whole 9X9, I will have to share with our computer desk, photo album shelves, and filing cabinet. My home is a great room style so everything is very open and no walls to divide the rooms on the main floor. I like the over the door shelf but I have a open door way which I would like to put slider doors, I probably have room to put 2 shelves up there, plus it has a huge window along one wall so there is only 18 inches left on each side of that wall, but it is a bay window so I think that’s where I’ll put my work space/table top, then I have a ledge area to expand on to and use less shelves and have natural light as there is only lamp light as there is not a ceiling light. I have a few of the drawers you have but most of my craft stuff is in sweater boxes. I create and make diaper, towel and other types of craft cakes. Also I have many supplies for jewellery as well. I am looking into getting a website to display my cakes.
