Applications have opened for Savvy Blogging Summit for this year, and as an alumni, I was able to register without applying this year. You better believe that I paid my registration right away!
Today, I wanted to look back at my experience last year in order to reflect on why Savvy Blogging Summit is such a great conference.
1. The application is a great process to go through to help you look at what you are doing currently with your blogging and what you hope to be doing. Plus, it’s only a $5 fee, but it allows you to later be able to download one of the talks ($10) for free!
2. I had an amazing time meeting new friends and eating great food. (Plus I learned the word skookum from some fun Canadians.)
3. I learned a lot about monetization. I definitely saw an increase in my blogging income after Savvy Blogging Summit.
4. I got a ton of tips on personal productivity. I have to admit that I’ve still got a long way to work on that. But that’s my problem, not theirs.
5. The photography session was amazing! I was also thrilled that he used my flash as an example. My camera was a celebrity.
6. The design class gave me more confidence in my design abilities, and I learned lots of great new information.
7. Seriously – I learned a lot at the design class.
8. Even though I had already set up my business as an LLC, the business/law class was full of great information.
9. Though I have still not put together a media kit, I learned all about putting them together. (Maybe one of these days, right?)
10. I didn’t really know much about SEO before I went, but left with a Word Document full of ideas.

So happy to have found you through the Top Ten Tuesday party at ohamanda. Just yesterday I was searching for Catholic Moms online. God provides!
I wish I could go to this conference! Sounds like a lot of fun and a lot of great info. I’m bookmarking this so I can find your links later since I don’t have time to read them all now!

Argghhhhhh! I am so torn! I can only justify one more conference this year, and I just cannot decide! Savvy Blogging was SO GOOD for me and for my blog last year, but I don’t know for sure if it’s the best choice for this year. I am in blog conference decision agony!!!!!
(Is there a conference for people who tend to exaggerate?)

I just read the other day which one you’re definitely going to, and I already can’t remember now. I remember that you’re torn between SBS and Relevant.
Best of luck deciding! Did you go to Relevant last year?
I actually haven’t decided for sure yet. My options (as I see them) are SBS, Relevant, Type A Mom and She Speaks. I didn’t go to Relevant last year but have heard GREAT things about it.
It feels like choosing between the head part of my blog and the heart part of my blog, even though all three blogging conferences will include aspects of both. It may come down to money, which I hate, but such is life!

There are just too many good options for conferences, I think.
