Thanks so much to those that have left comments, emailed me, sent me messages on Facebook and Twitter, as well as to those who didn’t pass along word that you were praying, but you prayed anyway.
My Mom went in for her heart catheterization on Friday, after having had continued chest pains (when doing even mild activities) following her heart catheterization and quadruple bypass surgery in July. While the results of the catheterization were much better this time around, things still weren’t perfect.
It turns out that one of the bypasses from July either collapsed, clotted completely shut, or formed too much scar tissue. (The nurse told us that this likely happened while Mom was still in the hospital recovering from her open heart surgery.) Whatever exactly happened, it made one of the bypasses not work. So, they had to go in and put in six stints into one of the arteries that they had originally tried to bypass.
We were very thankful that this didn’t result in an extra surgery, as they were able to do it all during the heart catheterization, though it did make that procedure longer. We were also thankful that Mom made it through that all well, and was released from the hospital a little over 24 hours after checking in.
We’re hoping that this will solve the problems that Mom has been having. She has been having a pretty rough couple of months, and we can’t wait for her to feel better soon!
Thank you, again, for all of the well wishes!

I’ll be keeping her in our prayers.
Praying for your mom’s speedy recovery! I’m glad that the Cath went well and that they were able to find and fix the problem! Boy, she has really been through a lot lately! Is she (and the rest of the family) at the point where she can’t stand the sight of the hospital?
I don’t blame her at all!
@Nancy,
Yeah, we are all a little tired of the hospital. (She has actually even been in for a six hour ER stay in between the two heart things as well — for a leg infection from her open heart surgery.)
On the up side – it is a newer hospital, so it is pretty. Plus, the rooms are all private rooms and they all have a recliner and a couch-type of thing where the top folds and you can sleep on it. So, since she has been having either my Dad or I sleep over for every overnight, that has been good.
I’m so happy to hear that Angie! I will continue to lift all of you up in prayer
Oh wow, 6 stints! I’m so glad she did well with the surgery and I hope she continues to recover quickly!
So glad to hear that your Mom is recovering well, boy, you have all been through a trying time! Will be keeping you and your family in my prayers.

What a rough summer your poor Mom (and you, too, I’m sure) have had! Praying for a full and speedy recovery.
Prayers continuing for your mom – and for all of you. God bless.
