I have noticed that most people fall into one of two camps — they either don’t care about school/office supplies or the love them. I’m in the love them camp, as I’m sure you already figured out.
Ever since I was a little girl, back to school time has left me feeling gleeful, just at the thought of being able to walk up and down the school supply aisles. So many possibilities are just waiting to happen with all of the beautiful supplies. The way the crayons all line up uniformly in a new box, the vast array of colors of folders and binders, index cards neatly packaged together – It’s all so exciting.
My favorite items are notebooks and journals. I just love them. From the plain old wide rule spiral notebooks that go on sale for a dime a notebook to gorgeously decorated handmade journals. There is such promise for what can go inside.
So, which camp are you in – love school supplies or couldn’t care less? If you love them, which are your favorite items?

LOVE them. We don’t really need any new supplies right now, but yesterday I found myself walking down the back to school aisle just to see what was there.

I LOVE school/office supplies! Seriously! My husband cringes at the thought of me spending time at Staples or Office Depot!
I’m with you about the crayons! There is just something so….inviting about sharpened pencils and fresh new crayons! It’s all about starting the year off with a clean slate…the possibilites for creativity are endless!
We haven’t made our trip for this year yet…..but I’m very much looking forward to it!

LOVE THEM! I’m actually writing a post today about organizing and re-stocking my school supply cabinet. I get a bit giddy with delight when I see the cup of sharpened pencils and the sharpened, colored pencils arranged by shade in a new homemade organizer. Yep, love them!

I love brand new pencils. Freshly sharpened. Clean erasers. I love the sound a freshly sharpened pencil makes on crisp white paper. It sounds like a secret.

LOVE them! It really isn’t right how much I love them.
Seriously the smell of new crayons is almost as good as chocolate. Almost.

I would be your LOVE camp neighbor then! I often find myself in the school supply or office supply area’s of any store that has them. And when I get down to an Office Depot, oh girlie, watch out!
As for favorite supplies, I often find I gravitate to whatever I can possibly use for scrapbooking as well.

Love them. Writing utensils are my supply of choice. I especially love the Sharpie pen. I also like notebooks and buy them all the time with good intentions to use them for something productive. They usually end up being used by my kids for doodle pads.

I love them. I love all of them – paper, pens, markers, folders, bins – you name it I love it. However, I don’t buy lots of it. I buy what I need. I do go down the isle and make a mental note on what to get when XXXX runs out…

LOVE!
Nothing thrilled me more than going shopping for school supplies for the new school year. I would pick out each notebook and pen with great care, making sure they matched my books for each subject (yeah, I was that geeky!)
