1. They’re allowed to sleep in. I don’t really wake the kids up, I let them wake up on their own. Of course, they do squander this by getting up way, way too early.
2. If there is a dinner that they really don’t like, they usually get to have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead. Yeah, I know. Don’t judge me – we all do what we have to do, right?
3. They don’t have to go to work.
4. They don’t have to worry about bills to pay, property taxes, insurance premiums, or any of those other “fun” things about adulthood.
5. At least a couple of the kids seem to be able to eat anything they want and still look like skinny minis.
6. Molly can wear a tutu and pink sparkly shoes out in public, and the only reason that people do a double take is because they think it’s adorable.
7. The kids can sing off key at church, and people just smile to hear their little voices belting out the hymns.
8. The clothes in the little girls department are so much cuter than the clothes in my department.
9. Holy Cow! All that energy!
10. They can fill a whole day with playing video games, pretending with each other, running around outside, doing crafts, and they don’t feel one bit remorseful that they have “wasted” a day.

Me too! Here I was in a hurry to grow up and now I realize how good I had it.
I do love seeing life through her eyes though-that’s just as good most days.

I am totally with you – especially #1 and #5 and #9! Hey, I wonder if those three things are somewhat related. Maybe I should sleep in more and move more, then I could also eat anything and be thin!

This is cute! My kids are up with the sun every.single.morning. Imagine my surprise when they woke at 7:43 this morning! That’s comparable to someone sleeping in until 10 in our house!!
Been thinking about you lately….

I especially liked 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10:D
Your blog looks like so much fun.
#1 is the one that kills me. While some of my teens have responsibilities and get up early and others are early risers I have a few that sleep late into the day.
Isn’t that the truth! I would love to be able to sleep whenever. I’m always telling Abby to sleep now, because she won’t have time later on. LOL!

Awesome list and all too true. The only thing I would add is that they can go to sleep whenever and wherever they want when they get sleepy, i.e. in church, while shopping, etc.
