I can remember playing house (which my kids call playing “family,” by the way), setting up play post offices, and making stores. Molly does a lot of those very same things.
However, I have realized that I grew up in a very different time from that which my children are growing up in.
Just a little while ago, before Molly could ring up my purchases at her store, she said, “Can I get your phone number first?” She proceeded to put it in the register and only then did she ring up my items.
And, as if to further cement this, right as I was typing this up, Molly declared, “Oh, I need to go take this phone conference,” and retreated back into her Cherry Blossom Market.

How cute! I think Molly and my Luci would get along great!
That is great! My kids play house, too, but they call it “Mom and Dad”. =)
