I am excited to participate in Oh Amanda’s Top Ten Tuesday again this week. Apparently once I talked about what I needed to talk about, I just can’t stop talking now.
We finished out last day of school on Friday, and I’m looking toward what I plan to get done this summer.
1. Come up with a weekly schedule to manage my time better. Not for every little thing, but just a basic outline of things I want to get done each day (including exercising at least three times a week, amongst other things.)
2. Finish all (or at least most) of our 4-H projects. It’s our first year doing it, and with things being so crazy, we haven’t even really started anything. Augh!
3. Plan for next school year. When I say that this year, I mean to really do some serious planning in advance.
4. Plan for next year’s co-op so that I’m not always doing things the night before co-op. Of course, even if I just plan for a class or two during the summer, I’ll be ahead of what I usually do.
5. Drag out my sewing machine and become better acquainted with it. “Oh hello, sewing machine! Did I mention that you intimidate me?”
6. Go to Savvy Blogging Summit. (I still need some sponsorship, if anyone is interested.)
7. Take some time to work on paintings, scrapbooking, and other craft endeavors that seem to get left behind during the school year.
8. Clean the house really well. Rinse, lather, and repeat.
9. Set up my Etsy shop. Well, it’s already set up from when I had it before. So, set it up again.
10. Find time to do nothing. At least a little time. (Or, since that might make me crazy, I’ll at least find time to listen to music and do nothing.)
Do you have any high hopes for the summer?

Sounds like a great list, Angie!

Great list. I did most of my planning the last couple of months while my oldest was still in school, and we plan to start a very light version of our year round homeschooling in June. So really I’ll be focusing on your #8, 9, & 10 for myself too.

I’m don’t hvae 4-Hers and am not homeschooling, oh – and I don’t have an Etsy shop (although I’d like to help my brother start one up) – but otherwise I might as well just copy this list for myself! Thanks!

I’m right there with you! My list includes your numbers 1, 3, 7 (drawing and photography with the nice, new SLR camera I hope to get for my birthday), and 8. I’ve been doing pretty well with 10 lately — if “doing nothing” includes sitting up until 2 AM playing Scrabble online!
Have a great summer!

Ahhh, #8. Repeat. And therein lies the problem.
Thanks for linking up again!

Yeah, the “repeat” is what always trips me up too.
It sounds like you’ll be busy! I think it’s great that you have goals. I’d love to start using my sewing machine more. I also need to plan for next year.

I’d love to get the sewing machine out, too!
Great list! I want to have a fun + relaxing summer. My oldest will be a 10th grader (gulp) next year so I want to make these last few summers as memorable as possible.
