It seems like I have been a little aimless lately. I had been wanting to participate in Top Ten Tuesday and figured, “Hey, why not just talk about what kinds of things I have been thinking of lately?” So, here are my random things that I have been pondering on.
1. Am I ever going to order new glasses before my prescription runs out?
2. What is up with Jack’s eye? (We had a very tense visit to the emergency room this weekend that I’ll share more about later.)
3. Why have I completely lost the ability to stay focused on a task?
4. Can I have a personal assistant for about a week?
5. What am I looking for when I head to the homeschool conference soon?
6. Will I manage to leave #5 without spending a fortune?
7. Should I open my Etsy shop back up again or is it not worth the annoyance of sending in sales tax every month and filling out the crazy business personal property tax form every year?
8. If I open an Etsy shop, should I start another blog for it or should I just try to incorporate it here?
9. Why has Molly been getting so darn cranky just before bed time recently?
10. Can I get my act together and send in some paperwork for my independent contracting by the end of the week, since I clearly did not send it in today?
This sounded like a whiny post, I imagine. I have to admit — I feel a little whiny. I have never felt more scattered and disjointed than I have felt for the past year or so.

What’s a little VENTING (not whining) among bloggy friends?
This is the first time I’ve commented, but I am a daily stalker!
After the birth of our 5th little blessing I felt EXTREMELY out-of-place. Hubby and I prayed on it and felt that the holy spirit was leading me to go back to school. I know that this isn’t the answer for you….just thought that I would share – a LOT of hours were spent praying to Our Lady to help me be a good mom. It sounds like your soul is looking for answer that you haven’t found yet!
God bless!

@Jessica,
Jessica – I agree that I suspect I need to spend a lot more time in prayer.
Thanks for calling it venting and not whining. LOL
How cool that you went back to school! What did you study? I went back to school about six years ago and got my masters. Now, the only thing to do would be another masters or a doctorate, and I just don’t have that in me.
But, I agree — it does seem like I am looking for some kind of “answer,” per se.
Ugh … you’ve got a busy, busy mind. And I’m sure there’s plenty more too – right?! Hang in there!
@mandi@itscome2this,
It’s true — my mind is always busy. It’s kind of tiring sometimes.
Saying that reminds me of what I heard someone say once. “You need to pray for a half an hour a day. If you say you’re way too busy to do that, then you need to be praying for an hour a day.”
Hoping putting these thoughts on “paper” might have brought a little bit of clarity!

I hear you on the running lists. I haven’t been able to sleep because those goofy lists have been running through my mind constantly!
On the etsy shop, I would open, but keep the same blog. I’m opening a monogramming business/ online store soon and am going to work it through my personal blog at first. Then, if God makes more hours in the day, I might consider a second blog.
If you do reopen your etsy shop, create another blog for it. Better to give it a separate identity.
I’m a graphic designer, by the way, I know a thing or two about branding.

#3 is so me! Can’t keep one thought on….oh, shiny! I’m easily distracted too
I love lists like this – thanks for sharing!

sometimes it helps to get a list going. and look what you’ve done — you’ve got a list of things bugging you or to do, or to think about. I know it helps me feel better when i do a list of stuff that’s been on my mind or bothering me. I too have a daughter who is fighting bed time now, after a very long period of loving bedtime and falling off to sleep. and yes, go get those glasses changed before your Rx runs out. you’ll feel better AND save some money.
Sounds like you’ve got a lot on your mind. I can relate. I was going to comment with something witty, but in the process of entering my name and Web site, I lost track of what I was going to say…
Guess #3 is definitely me as well.
