I’m Going to the Savvy Blogging Summit!

in blogging

Knowing that the Savvy Blogging Summit had an application process and quite a lot of people applying, I wasn’t really holding my breath for being invited to attend.  Imagine my surprise then this weekend to receive the email that told me I was in!  Wow!

I believe I told Eric that there was good new and bad news.  The good news was that I got invited to the Savvy Blogging Summit.  The bad news is that I got invited to the Savvy Blogging Summit.  I’m excited, of course, but after having committed to going to the Relevant Conference, it is a little intimidating to think of coming up with the money to attend both conferences.  (Hence the good news and bad news spin on that.)

Regardless, I’m very excited to have been invited and plan on attending.  I hope that it will help me as I continue to grow this blog and community, as well as The Homeschool Classroom and Catholic Mothers Online.

While I know that it is my choice to attend both of these conferences, I’m hoping that you guys might be able to help me on my way.  There are several ways that you can help, if you enjoy Many Little Blessings, The Homeschool Classroom, or Catholic Mothers Online — or, of course, you might be a fan of all of them (or some combination).

1. Advertise on any (or all) of the three blogs – Just to make it easier on those that might be interested, I won’t even make you go try to figure out how much the ads are; I’ll just tell you right here.  Both MLB and CMO are $10/month and HSC is $20/month.  All of those are for 125×125 ads.

2. Advertise with the Homeschool Classroom and Catholic Mothers Online with some limited time (and limited availability) 100×100 ads. Information can be found here:  Advertising Special at The Homeschool Classroom (only $30 for three months) and Advertising Special at Catholic Mothers Online (only $15 for three months).  These specials have already helped, and I would love to be able to to fill up the ad boxes the rest of the way!

3. Keep an eye out for the reopening of my Etsy shop. It will happen sometime (hopefully in the next few weeks), and my hope is that I will be able to help raise money for the conferences through this avenue.

4. I am working on an e-book, and I hope that it will be one you’ll be interested in!  I hope (fingers crossed!) to have it ready within about a week.  (I was already working on it.)  I will put all monies from the sale of this e-book toward conference attendance.

(Drop me a line if you have an e-book idea that you think I should write, as I am having fun with the one I am working on, though it is a large undertaking.)

5. I have a page up about conference sponsorship, which even includes a variety of levels of sponsorship.  If you have a business, make sure to check it out.

6. I realize this is kind of bold (and I feel really bad to even put this as an option), but maybe you just enjoy one or more of my blogs and want to donate toward one of my trips. If you feel called to do that – thank you!  Even $5 would put me $5 closer to meeting my expenses without burdening my family.  Donations can be made through the Paypal button below (you do not have to have a Paypal account to use Paypal).   (If you read this in a reader, you may have to click to the site to see the Paypal button.)

7. Send along good wishes and prayers that I am able to enrich myself, as well as refresh and renew, without having to burden my family financially.
Thank you for any way you are able to help!

We’ll be praying! I know that going away for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd training wasn’t always easy on my family (temporally, financially, etc) but it was well worth it spiritually! One just has to carefully consider the value of each choice. As long as you’re praying about it and letting God decide, you’re doing great!
