How to Move Google Friend Connect from Blogger to WordPress

in blogging

This post has been removed by me because it was apparently of a similar nature to something that someone else posted.  If you need help with the directions though, drop me a note, and I’m happy to help.

Thanks, that actually did work when I just tried it. The sometimes unwanted side effects of going to self hosted is that you lose a lot of the in-built features. They also make it a little tricky to figure out how to move features such as friend connect. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for posting this!! I just made the move to WP and lost several of my “friends” and “followers” in the process! This helped me get them back on board!! Yay! Thanks again! :)

Thanks for sharing this. Could blogging *be* any more confusing nowadays with all the different plug-ins and ways to subscribe, follow, connect?

I’m so happy I found your blog – it’s adorable and full of great information, I’m following you now… bBut I’m so sad you had to take this post down. Sounds like it’s exactly what I’ve been searching for. Can I get the link to the similar post or perhaps HELP! Please please :)

Me too ;) When you popped up in my google search…I knew I could trust your way of doing it (there are so many options out there to everything..and choice of plug-ins!! Plus I follow you on Twitter and knew I could trust you!)

Would love a copy of original post!! Also…love the clean look of your blog! You’ve done a GREAT job! I’m in the middle of a move to WP from blogger, and wow…it feels like prepping for childbirth and another child. :)

One more question ~ How did you do your recipe index? I am using a list/category/post plug-in but it is giving me issues. Showing up with posts that aren’t in a particular category. Also I want to rename them to name of recipe instead of name of post. Did you use a certain plug in for your recipe index page or did you put them in manually?

At this point I think I’d rather just do it manually so it is the way I want it. I only have about 65 posts and a handful don’t contain recipes so I don’t think it’d take me too long. Would apprectiate your thoughts in this matter. THANKS so much!! I’m hoping to launch my new site tomorrow.
