Do you know which company is just about the coolest ever?
It’s Catholic Child Catalog.
I’ll post more another time about it, but it’s safe to say that I love them.

We finished our last day of our homeschool co-op this week. Although I look forward to a summer of not having to worry about getting stuff together for co-op (usually the night before, because that’s how I roll), I will miss hanging out with my homeschooling friends. I will also miss a lot of the kids. I have a fun time with them, and have been able to foster relationships with a variety of the children (especially since I taught a preschool class and also co-taught a class for 3rd – 7th graders).
That being said, I’m looking forward to moving out of the preschool next year and teaching only one class — photography for a semester and then an altered art class the second semester. It will definitely be different from what I have taught in the past. I hope the kids like it!

For lunch (which I ate almost entirely while making the kids lunch), I had one small slice of leftover Pizza Hut pizza, two potato chips, five Cheetohs, one Goldfish S’more cracker, three squares of a Cadbury candy bar (which I got from one of the girls in my chess class at co-op) and a cup full of baby carrots.

I am very seriously thinking about taking BlogHer ads off of The Homeschool Classroom. I already removed them from here (and did it at the time of year I tend to make the most money from it). I’m just kind of tired of all of the rules, as well as all of the room they take up.
Then, as soon as I think that I should do it, I think that maybe it’s dumb to get rid of something that will definitely make money each money (albeit a small amount of money).

It has been forever since I looked up in my analytics what some keyword searches were that brought people to my site. There are always some great gems in there.
One personal favorite this time was, “How do you spell Seamus?”
Exactly like you just spelled it, but thanks so much for coming to my site.
Do you ever read through the keywords that bring people to your site or blog?

On the list of things we have had to buy for our house, one of the ones I like the least is on that list right now — a new toilet. Seriously — who wants to spend money on a toilet?
Wish us luck on not having to spend a fortune on it. The plumber suggests that we not go with the lowest model, because of a particular issue we have with a certain family member. We tried to put off buying a new one, even after he suggested it, but we have had the same problem several times now (and Eric has managed to fix it). But, it would appear to be time.
What kinds of things do you just hate buying for your home?

My goal this weekend is to get caught up on everything that I am behind on. Of course, that may be a little lofty of a goal.
You know, just a little.

Those keywords searches that lead to our blogs can be pretty funny sometimes. Oddly, my most common one is about “homemade aprons” and that’s something I posted about once, a couple of years ago!

I hate buying toilets! We had to replace the one in the kids bathroom awhile ago. The story is posted on one of my old blogs: http://busybeemama.blogspot.com/2007/07/things-children-put-in-toilet.html
Hubby and I are going to have to replace the one in our bathroom at some point soon because we hate it. We actually hate that toilet more than we hate shopping for toilets.

Ooooh, the altered art class sounds really exciting. Please be sure to post about your lesson plans and the projects the children do.
Well, this is pretty personal but I hate buying “feminine products.” Now that my daughter has “become a young woman” as well, it seems that we’re spending a fortune in just one aisle of Target!

Home Depot/Lowes has some great low-flow, but high pressure toilets. Not that expensive…even tankless ones. What’s worse than buying toilets? Toilet seats!

1) I would love to get some of those Saints on CD from Catholic Catalog. Jealous! We have 3 more weeks of co-op. I believe your lunch is known as “Mommy Lunch”
I love the keyword search results! A few times I’ve had disturbing results, but most of the time they are normal with a funny gem or two.

Hi, I’m back from the UBP – finally getting back to check on all the blogs I had bookmarked wanting to read more! I love your style and will start following you now. :^)
A quick response to one of your 7 quick things: Our homeschool ice skating class ends on Tuesday for the year. My girls will miss the skating…and I will miss the fellowship I enjoy with other moms during the skate time! :^)
