I don’t know if it’s the weather or so much sickness going around or just the time of year, but it seems like a lot of people that I have talked to lately report just feeling behind in just about everything. I am feeling like that too.
So, of course, I know that none of us can “do it all,” but I would love to hear some of your best tips for getting caught up when you are feeling behind. Mind you, it doesn’t have to be how you get totally caught up, maybe just a tip or two to help in getting caught up.
(Oh, and on a side note — Happy Birthday to my wonderful, amazing, super cool Mom! Love you!)

My trick is starting with a clean house. It doesn't have to be spick and span but if I at least get the cluttered cleared, I find I can get so much more done.
Something I'm working on right now is eliminating the unnecessary. There are many good thngs in my life, but there is only room for the best. I just wrote a blog post about my beginning stages and will blog more about it as time allows.
Have a blessed day,

I'm feeling overwhelmed at the moment also. I have a tendency to add lots of blogs to my reader and last week, I deleted a bunch of them. I feel better already.
I just look at and do one thing at a time before I think about the next thing.
I'm forever behind and even offer Blog Services for other lol. My thing I live by is my purple planner. It has weekly, monthly, and daily in it and I write down everything I have to have done by a certain due date. Now I don't get everything on time, but it DOES get done. HTH!

When I get really behind (which is pretty often) I will write down everything I need to do. Then I try to schedule my next few days and work it all in. I never get it all done, but just having it written down takes a lot of the stress off.
Ever since I started back to college and began homeschooling (my insanity knows no bounds), any hope of being caught up on anything seems to be a lost cause. I agree with the comment of starting with a clean house. I cannot function when the house is a wreck and only get the bare essentials done those days (weeks). Currently, my only tip is having a wonderful husband.
I pick ONE THING to get totally caught up on, and focus on that. Usually it's laundry because with 5 of us it piles up if I don't do at least some every day. So, if I'm behind, I get laundry flowing and while the washer and dryer are doing their wonderful thing, I get the kids and I going with a "ten minute tidy" in the living room (like Lunette's 10 second tidy on the Big Comfy Couch, only without the annoying, frantic music). It's amazing what we can clean up in 10 minutes, and then (generally) one room is looking good and it's less stressful when you can have at least one area that's "DONE"…well, at least for a little while…
Writing out a list helps me, too, if only to get everything onto paper and out of my head.
