I love sewing felt foods! I have a few on my blog that I've posted/am going to post. For the boys, maybe make a game like a beanbag toss board with a favorite character or sports team's colors or logo painted on it. I know kids of all ages love to play this at tailgates and backyard bbqs…Although that would certainly be harder to hide than cookies!

You know what else I saw that was cute for a play kitchen that you can make easily? A sack of flour, sewn in old feed sack material. It was super sweet.
