This summer, the room that we use as a toy room and school room was a mess. But, now as we have ventured into the beginning of the school year (today!), I finally got it all cleaned up and organized. (What a huge relief!)

The boxes that I plan to use for Work Boxes for the kids (once I can get that organized; these are modified from the actual Work Boxes system)

We added a bulletin board this year. I thought it would be nice to be able to put things up occasionally. Although not shown here, it currently has our latest art assignment from each of the kids posted.

Our white board had been just sitting on top of the book shelf (last year), but Eric hung it up for me this year, and it really seems to be working really well so far. (I had told him not to hang it up before, though I’m not really sure why now.)

Our bookshelf, which I store all of our current books on. Because we have a lot of books with Winter Promise this year, we only put up the Winter Promise books that we are actually using right now (and put the rest in a basket all together in the closet).

Baskets of books, paper, art supplies, and a variety of school supplies all stored on shelves that Eric built into the closet.

Our work area, complete with a seat for each of us:

Eric converted our coat closet into a storage closet when we were still working on school at our dining room table. We’re still using this for storage now, but it is considerably more organized now that we don’t have to store everything in it.
