My Husband Called Me A Snot Bucket

in confessions, family, household responsibilities, humor

Let it be known that I am not like the newspaper that makes an error on the front page and then makes the correction on page 20, just under a riveting story about the new pipes that have been bought for the local treatment plant.

While I feel I am not totally in error, as I didn’t claim that I actually said that trash day was like absolution for the house, I just wrote about it and didn’t properly attribute it. And, truth of that is that I couldn’t remember if I said it or if Eric said it, after I brought up about Father’s analogy about sin in your body is like trash in your house.

When Eric came home from work yesterday, I was quickly made aware of that Eric was actually the one that coined the phrase. And do you know how I found that out? Shortly after he arrived home, he told me that he had read my article where I declared my love for trash day. Then, he said, “You stole my line, ya snot bucket.”

So, here I am, making amends. Of course, Heaven knows you wouldn’t have come up with it out of the blue if we hadn’t been having such a lovely conversation. So, please enjoy the printed, front page retraction, ya snot bucket. (Love you, honey.)
