Recently, we were using our Language of God grammar books, and Jack’s assignment was to work on putting a small list of words in alphabetical order.
The words all had to do with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. However, Eve was not one of the words. So, when Jack got to “grace,” he said, “Was it Adam and Grace?”
“No,” I told him, “it was Adam and Eve.”
“Then who was Grace?” he questioned.
“It wasn’t a girl named Grace, it is talking about God’s grace.”
Everything was okay then, for a moment. Then, Jack had to inquire about the word Eden.
I said, “Okay, so why do you think the word Eden is on the list about Adam and Eve in the Garden of…”
“OH!” Jack exclaimed.
I, of course, was waiting for him to complete the phrase “Garden of Eden.” Instead, he said, with pride for having figured it out, “Because they had eden the apple.”
