Preparing Goodies for Christmas Platters (Tackle It Tuesday #27)

in cooking/baking, gifts

This evening, I have been hard at work at my second set of Christmas baking. This time, the majority of the goodies are being put on platters. For family and close friends, we have put together baskets of home baked goodies.

This set is primarily platters, however, since they are going to people like therapists at school (the boys still receive therapy at school, even though we’re homeschooling), the people that work under Eric, Molly’s preschool teachers, etc. We will also be dropping by a basket of goodies to our church office, and giving a basket to Eric’s boss’ family.

I’m actually deep in the middle of this tackle, with holiday party mix currently in the oven (the picture shows it just partially done). You can read about the holiday party mix (and check out the iPod giveaway) here.

I have cake balls already partially made (they just need to be coated with almond bark), peppermint bark done (but still in the pan), and pine bark drying. I still have a few more things to make, and am hoping to do most of the delivering tomorrow!

I’m planning to post a picture of a platter when it is all assemble! Wish me luck to get through this tonight!

(Edited to Add: I just posted the completed “products” with a picture and a list of the platter contents!)
