Thirteen Things We’re Growing in the Garden This Year

Gardening is an excellent way to go green AND to save some money! Even if you don’t have much room, there’s something like kiddie pool gardening!

So, as I sit here at the computer, Eric is out tilling up the garden. What a guy! Of course, it’ll by my turn when we start planting though.

Here’s what we’re growing (some in the garden, some in pots)

1. Strawberries

2. Zucchini

3. Yellow Squash (straight neck)

4. Green Bell Peppers

5. Red Bell Peppers

6. Cucumbers

7. Romaine Lettuce

8. Buttercrunch Lettuce

9. Cherry Tomatoes

10. Grape Tomatoes

11. “Boy” Tomatoes (Better Boy and Big Boy)

12. “Girl” Tomatoes (Early Girl)

13. Beef Master Tomatoes (that name cracks us up)

(Okay…I’ll cheat and put in a number fourteen — 14. Brandywine Heirloom Tomatoes)
