WFMW: Making Cereral Last Longer

in WFMW,food,shopping

I’m sure in some houses, cereal is gone through like water. Not so much in our house. We like cereal, but we were always apt to end up throwing away partially eaten boxes of cereal because they were stale.

One day when I was at Target, I saw some cereal keeper containers (or, really for anything that would fit in them, I suspect). I didn’t know if I could make myself by them — they were around $7 – $8 each! But, I finally sucked it up and bought a few.

Wow — can I just say that these are DEFINITELY worth the money spent! The other day, the kids wanted Cheerios. I am positive that it has been at least a few months since I opened that box originally, but there they were — crunchy and just like I had opened the box yesterday.

These are great for the household that likes the occasional box of cereal (or that likes to have several types of cereal open at once).
