Wow! It seems like we have been in RCIA forever — studying and reflecting to prepare us to join the Roman Catholic Church. And…here we are. It’s today! I get giddy just thinking of it!!! (It’s also exciting for me that not only will Eric and I be welcomed into full communion with the church, but we will also make a profession of faith on behalf of our children — although this also means having a sometimes high strung two year old at a long Mass. Oh well!)
Now…the only bad thing is…Noah has been coughing a lot lately, and now I have (since yesterday or the day before) what seems to be the beginning of bronchitis and just a slight fever. (Eric thinks I don’t have a fever, but his hands are hot and we don’t have a thermometer.) At the very least, my cheeks are flushed. I have already declared that it would take me being in the hospital to not go to Mass. And, as a matter of fact, since both the hospitals in town are Catholic hospitals, I will request one of the Sisters to just wheel me on into the church. What a sight that would be!
So, if you have extra prayers for our family today, that would be most appreciated!

I am so excited for you! I added you to Karen Edmisten’s prayer list. She converted to the Catholic faith many years ago. I will be thinking of you and your husband all night and will rejoice for you at our Mass tomorrow!

Angie, I hope you are better. I’m only reading this post after my own return home from our Easter Vigil Mass. I did pray for you though as our catechumens went up. Welcome home. I’m so happy for you.
