Okay, so I have made a dangerous discovery this past week or so — it is etsy.com. It is kind of Ebay-like in that it is people listing items for sale. But, it is very different as well. Etsy is all homemade stuff, and each seller gets their own “shop.” The shops are free, and listings aren’t very expensive at all (just $.20 per listing, plus a fee of something like 3.5% of whatever you sell). Then, your listing stays up for four months.
I have been working on my “shop,” with mostly photographs right now (though I do plan to add some more stuff later). But, the dangerous thing is, not only have I been spending too much time at the computer getting that set up, but I have also been browsing all through Etsy. I have already bought just a couple of smaller things, but have my “favorites” feature full of things that I would love to pick up. Seriously…it’s like going to a cool craft show, but you can do it in your pajamas. Fun, fun, fun!
I would definitely suggest that you pop on over to Etsy.com and take a look around. There is SO much neat stuff, and it’s fun to know that it is all individuals selling these things.
